If you've been to Los Angeles, then you can appreciate how difficult this race is to pull off logistically. It's one thing to put on a
triathlon in a relatively open area, it's another thing to pull it off in the heart of Los Angeles. This race begins on Venice beach,
goes through Hollywood, and ends up in downtown at the Staples center. This is a fun and challenging race course...hope to see you there!

Kick off of the LA Triathlon starts in Venice Beach. Be sure to check out Venice beach later after the triathlon to see all types of street performers.
You will see singers, jugglers, dancers, and acrobatics...a sight to see. |

The bike leg of the LA Triathlon will bring you into the heart of Los Angeles. You will pass by LA landmarks, including
the new Disney Concert Hall (Shown in this photograph), Nokia theatre, Staples Center, and the Catholic Cathedral.

Finally...the run portion. Run through the streets of Los Angeles and receive lots of refreshments
as numerous bystanders cheer you onward.

Point to point Olympic distance course:
Swim: 1.5K (.9 miles)---Venice Beach
Cycle: 40 Kilometer (24 miles)---Hollywood and surrounding areas
Run: 10 Kilometers (6.2 miles)---Downtown. Ends at STAPLES Center
Point to point Sprint Course:
Swim: .4 miles---Venice Beach
Cycle: 20 miles---Hollywood and surrounding areas
Run: 5k---(3.1 miles)---Downtown. Ends at STAPLES Center
