Insiders already know it; in 2007 the professional riders of T-Mobile, Credit Agricole, Astana, Unibet and Caisse D' Esparge are chasing victories with the same German hand produced tubulars that are available at Triathlon Lab. They have tested the liquid crystal fibre Vectran under the hard professional conditions of grit, pot holes and long hard mileage.

From 2006 the Competition has been equiped with the new Vectran puncture protection breaker in serial production. One layer of the cut resistant Vectran under the tread instead of the previous two nylon breakers reduces weight and improves rolling resistance and rolling comfort. The German manufacturing process of the Competition hasn't changed.
