Technology

Wind Tunnel Testing: This product directly benefited from advanced computer design work using Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) software from CD-Adapco as well as extensive wind tunnel testing to make them as aerodynamically efficient and technologically advanced as possible.

Internal Cable Routing: This indicates the use of flow-through internal cable routing. It reduces wind drag and prevents contaminants from entering and interfering with the function of brake or shifter cables.

Inside Out: InsideOut is a revolutionary internally optimized molding process that completely eliminates excess material, and therefore weight, inside the frame tubes and junctions. Placing polyurethane inserts inside the frame during the molding process—especially at the bottom bracket and head tube area—and then applying a precise amount of pressure and heat results in perfectly formed tubes, inside and out.

Modular Monocoque Construction: Modular Monocoque Construction is an advanced carbon fiber manufacturing technique that allows Felt to mold individual sections of the frameset and then join them together. The main advantage of MMC is that it allows each section to be optimized to meet the specific engineering demands of that particular section of the frame.

UHC Performance: UHC Performance is a T700-based blend of raw carbon fiber, which has a tensile strength that’s 7.9 times greater than 3/2/5 titanium and a stiffness rating that’s 3.34 times greater than 6061 aluminum.
